FIRE FIGHTING AND TECHNICAL RESCUE
Based on our cooperation agreement with the Nógrád County Directorate for Disaster Management, members of our association also perform firefighting and technical rescue tasks.
Our fire-fighting service - due to its equipment - can effectively assist the work of the professional disaster management services mainly in the case of damage remote from populated areas, in the extinguishing of vegetation and forest fires in hard-to-reach places, but of course we help in all cases where a larger fire-fighting force is needed. The personal protective equipment required for intervention is provided for all our members at our base. We also have a forest fire-fighting vehicle and a quad, which enable us to intervene more effectively.
As well as firefighting, we also carry out technical rescue work, mainly rescuing animals in distress, helping to winch vehicles stuck on rough, wet dirt roads, and dealing with storm damage and the consequences of flash and prolonged flooding. All our vehicles are equipped with electric winches, technical rescue equipment, chainsaws and hand tools. All our members involved in firefighting and technical rescue have completed at least 40 hours of basic firefighting training and are qualified to operate firefighting technical equipment. The professional management of our service is carried out by our professional and retired firefighting members.
For the training of our firefighters, the purchase and maintenance of our equipment, the BM National Directorate General for Disaster Management provides ongoing support.
