HELP IN AND UNDER THE WATER
Our diving service is responsible for the rescue of water accidents, providing the necessary personnel and technical equipment. Our divers and lifeguards rescue submerged persons, find and recover submerged objects, crime scenes, vehicles that have rolled into the water, and rescue persons and animals trapped on dangerously thin ice. They are involved in flood protection, rescue of persons and property in flash flood areas.
We have all the necessary equipment to deal with such incidents in our county, our divers can dive and our lifeguards can work safely in all seasons and weather conditions. In addition to the personal equipment and clothing of our divers, our base has a water casualty unit on a trailer ready to go, with all the equipment needed for the intervention. The unit includes a rubber-hulled motorboat and sonar equipment for underwater search.
Training our divers is a long and costly process, but we strive to provide them with regular and high quality training. Most of them are "CMAS**" certified, but a core of our intervention staff have also completed the "TDI Intro to Tech" and "PADI Public Safety Diver" training, as well as being certified as dry suit ice rescue divers. All our lifeguards are qualified as open water lifeguards.
Our equipment was purchased with the support of the National Directorate General for Disaster Management, Ministry of the Interior, the Municipal Civil Fund and the National Cooperation Fund, through tenders and with the help of our sponsors.
